Tot zijn frustratie moet hij een verdachte vrijlaten wegens gebrek aan bewijs. Twintig jaar later krijgt Castaings dochter Sarah (<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sofia_Essa%C3%AFdi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sofia Essa\u00efdi<\/a>) als hoofdinspecteur van politie ook met een verdwijningszaak te maken die haar niet onberoerd laat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"LA PROMESSE (2021) - TF1 - OLIVIER MARCHAL \/ LAURE DE BUTLER \/ MINISERIE\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9aRnjN4xQ4g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anne Landois is de maker van de serie. Vanaf 11 december 2020 konden kijkers van het streamingplatform Salto al naar de serie kijken. In Frankrijk en Belgi\u00eb was de serie vanaf januari 2021 te zien op de grote zenders TF1 en La Une. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Redelijke reviews<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De serie kreeg overwegend aardige reviews. Zo werd de reeks op Allocin\u00e9 &#8211; vergelijkbaar met IMDb &#8211; beoordeeld met bijna vier van de vijf sterren. Kijkers vonden de serie spannend en hadden veel lof voor de acteurs. Ook de Franse pers gaf de serie behoorlijk wat sterren. Zij vonden dat de serie lekker donker was en wel wat leek op de duistere reeksen uit het hoge noorden. En natuurlijk deed acteur Olivier Marchal het weer goed bij de pers en kijkers, maar dat hadden we al verwacht. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ik ben benieuwd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8216;The Promise&#8217; is vanaf zaterdag 21 augustus om 20.25 uur te zien bij KRO-NCRV op NPO 3.
